Foundation, Hilight and Contour routine :)

Hey everyone,

I thought I would do a super quick post on the foundation, hilight and contour routine I use when I'm going out (I also just filled in my brows very messily to show full effect at the end).

The products I use are : Smashbox Photo Ready Primer, Inglot HD Foundation, NYX HD Concealer, MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, MAC Lightscapade, MAC Warm Soul and Seventeen Define and Conquer Palette.

I prime my face using the smash box primer and then apply the inglot foundation, both mentioned above.

Once that's done, I apply MAC Pro Longwear Concealer under my eyes, in the middle of my forehead, on my chin and on the bridge of my nose to Hilight, as these are the areas I want the light to hit. I apply the darker NYX concealer under my cheek bones, under my bottom lip, on the sides and end of my nose and along my hair line to contour, as these are areas where I want to create a shadow, for example, applying it under my cheek bones lifts them up and gives the illusion of a more sculpted face.

Once all of this is blended (I like to use the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge for a flawless finish), I like to set it all using the Seventeen Define and Conquer Palette (dark on the contoured areas, light on the hilighted).

I then apply some blusher - MAC Warm Soul - to my cheeks, and MAC Lightscapade to hilight my brow bones and the tops of my cheek bones.

And voila!!

By the way, just LOOK at the glow that Lightscapade gives? It has definitely taken over the top spot in my favourite Hilight list!

Thanks for reading!

My High End Wishlist

Gooood morning and happy Friday!!

I don't know about you, but I spend a good fraction of my life watching Beauty Youtuber's videos and reading beauty blogs, and it has made me realise that A. I have expensive taste and B. I need to either be successful or marry a rich man.

The below products are currently on my wishlist, and they WILL be mine someday in the hopefully not so far future.

1. Pestle and Mortar Hyaluronic Serum

This product promises to hydrate and soothe even the most sensitive skin. It is said to target fine lines, dullness and dehydration, restoring a healthy glow, plumpness and radiance.  Pestle and Mortar are an Irish company and this product is 100% free of animal derived raw materials and organic solvent remnants, paraben free, propylene glycol free, fragrance free and not tested on animals. It comes in a 30 ml bottle and retails at €42.99. It can be bought by clicking into the link above....soooo tempting!!!!

2. Charlotte Tilbury Fimstar Bronze and Glow - Face Sculpt and Hilight

Everybody and their mother's have heard of Charlotte Tilbury - make-up artist to the stars! When her range was launched in Brown Thomas this year I was soo disgusted that I didn't go - I really wanted to meet her :( Anyway, this palette is said to be the "secret that silver screen sirens have kept to themselves for years" – it is used to slim, sculpt, shorten, trim and highlight your features by using the darker shade to contour and the lighter shade to hilight. It can be bought in Brown Thomas in Dublin or online using the link above - it retails at €65.00.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

I love to look after my skin and judging by this little passage from the Brown Thomas site, this would be right up my street! "A break-through, multi-tasking ingredient, the BioNymph Peptide Complex, fights the ageing process on all fronts: it stimulates collagen production and cell energy and fights free radicals, to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and smooth the skin. A hyaluronic acid booster called Sodium Hyaluronate floods skin with moisture, re-plumping the skin. And an infusion of rose hip oil and vitamin E bring your complexion back to life." I don't even know why I want this but I do so badly because it's so raved about! But at €90.00 a pop for 50ml I'm not sure can I justify it. (I totally could but I'm trying to not buy stuff).

4. Tom Ford Matte Lipstick in Black Dahlia

I don't even have to say anything about this, just look how fab it is? But at €47.00..... I just don't know how that makes me feel!! I just love matte lippies though.

Until next time,

Chloe

Baby B Browne Tan Review

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a nice weekend. Yesterday was my birthday - I know, Monday what a s**t day for a birthday! I didn't do anything too exciting as I was working. I got a voucher for my favourite beauty salon, The Beauty Suite in Tuam (http://thebeautysuitetuam.com/) and I cant wait for some pampering!

Anyways, nobody EVER wants their false tan to look like Ross Gellar's tan (see below!)

When Baby B Browne (http://www.babybbrowne.co.uk) sent me out some of their false tan to try out, I was delighted. I'd heard loads of good things about this brand. Now I am the first to admit, I am USELESS when it comes to false tan, I don't bother prepping my skin beforehand or anything and I don't look after it once it's on.  So on Sunday night I thought I'd put this to the test.

I put on the tan using just a normal mitt I got in a chemist. It seemed to be a cream formula, which I don't think I had used before. It had a really nice sweet smell, it reminded me of vanilla or fudge or something - I'm not sure what but seriously - DIVINE. Anyway it applied super easily, I was done in 10 minutes. No need for vigorous blending or any of that stuff - it literally went on like a dream as they say. I left it on for I think 10 hours and showered it off the next morning. The below photo speaks for itself. If only I had actually prepped my skin - imagine how nice it would be then!!

This was me after 2 showers, look how fab it is! It is a lovely deep colour and its not orange looking at all.

As I said I've showered twice since and it seems to be fading very evenly and not at all patchy. I usually find that tan dries out my skin but that's not the case at all with Baby B Browne.

I am looking forward to using this tan again and I would like to thank Baby B Browne for giving me the opportunity to try it out. Have a look on their website if you are interested in purchasing, It retails on the website at £10.46 for 250ml which is a big bottle, and a little really goes a long way!

Until next time,

Chloe

My favourite Inglot products!

Hey everyone,

I was in Dublin over the weekend and I picked up a few bits in Inglot. It got me thinking about what my favourite products were so I thought I'd do a post on them. Here they are!

HD Foundation
This hypoallergenic foundation has extracts of white truffle in it which helps balance the moisture in your skin. It gives a flawless, even finish. It's suitable for sensitive skin and it covers everything!! It's so long lasting and best of all it comes in a 35ml bottle which is wuite a lot of product. This retails at €33 and comes in 8 shades.

Sculpting Powder
This compact powder comes in 4 different shades and retails at €10. It is used to contour and enhance your features. (Think cheekbones!!) They come in sheer or matte to suit your personal preferences.

Sparkle Dust
This is the hilighter of all hilighters! (That I have used anyways). It's a loose dust and a little goes a very long way - you need to apply this with a light hand! It costs €20, the pot should last you ages! It comes in 5 different shades to suit different skin tones.

77 Gel Liner and 31T Brush
I put these two together because they just belong together! The brush is soooo thin. It's an angled liner brush which I use to achieve a flicked liner look. It's a steal at only €14. The gel liner is so long wearing it's insane, it's fully matte and the brown shades in the collection can also be used for brows, I think there's about 15 shades. This costs €15.

Freedom System Palette Eyeshadows
I couldn't do this post with out mentioning these. The Eyeshadows come separate so you can choose your own colours and then slot them into the different palettes available. There are hundreds of shades available and they cost from €6 to €8 per shadow. The colour pay off is amazing and there's very little fall out. They blend so so easily also. They come in matte, pearl and rainbow shades.
Inglot is stocked in their stores in Dublin - Jervis St Shopping Centre, Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Dundrum and South Anne Street; Cork - Mahon Point and Limerick - Crescent Shopping Centre and online too, www.inglot.ie (all photos on this post are from their website). Hopefully they'll bring one to Galway soon - I will be so broke!

Don't forget if you're a Makeup artist you can avail of a 20% discount once you apply for a PRO card!

That's all my ramblings for today,
Chloe x

The Rest Of My Christmas Haul

Good Evening!

Back again today with the rest of my Christmas/Post Christmas haul! It includes a mixture of skincare and perfume from a few different brands..

So I will start with skincare products

Vichy Aqualia Thermale Creme Riche Moisturiser I LOVE THIS MOISTURISER! I've had it 2 or 3 times now and I just love it. I won't go into too much detail because I want to do a skincare post some time soon, but just trust me it is amazeballs. I got this from my aunt but I assume it can be bought in many chemists.
Estee Lauder Night Repair OMFG. The difference that this little brown bottle has made to my face in 2 weeks is insane - I will post a before and after pic in 2 more weeks, I want to give it a month. It is definitely a luxury but I refuse to be without it again. I have used it every night religiously and it has rehydrated my skin totally, helping my makeup to apply much more even on my skin.
Clarins Water Purify One Step Cleanser To be honest I normally use the Garnier Miscellar Water, but this was half price in University Pharmacy in Galway so I said I would give it a go. I don't find it to be much different then the Garnier one!
La Roche Posay Moisturising Cream for Sensitive Skin I have very red skin so I find mixing a little bit of this with the Vichy moisturiser has done wonders to take down some of the high colouring.
La Roche Posay Hand Repair Cream My hands are always dry and chapped so this is very handy to have in my handbag to use through out the day.

I also got these NYX goodies which I have swatched below. I buy NYX in Duffy's Pharmacy in Tuam. You will notice that I buy loads in there!! This is such an affordable brand and really good value for money. Each of these items cost less then €5 each.

Concealers in "Fair" and "Dark" I use these to contour and hilight.

Butter Glosses in "Eclair", "Strawberry Parfait" These smell so delicious its not even funny. In particular I love Eclair paired with MAC 2Faux".

Jumbo Eye Pencils in "Milk" and "Yoghurt" These guys are great as eye shadow bases all over the eyelid, so your eye shadow doesn't crease.

Over the weekend I will hopefully get a chance to put up some makeup looks with pictorials in case you would like to have a go at them also. Any particular looks you'd like to see?

Laters,

Chloe xx

Lipliners: Vino and Nude

Eyes
Top Row L-R: Fig 1, Vibrant Grape, Deep Truth
